Apparently teenagers in the U.S. are starting to use LOL and emoticons in their formal writing. In fact, this article claims that in a survey, over 25% claimed to writing with emoticons. That’s just sad. What happened to brilliant prose? Is it being overtaken by technology and an internet-generation?
