Recent flea market finds; a vintage Bambi toy for Amelia, and a pretty vintage yellow serving dish for Mama.

Maggie outside this morning, enjoying the beautiful weather we are having as of late.
So, 2012, up until recently, has not been the best. The girls and I started this new year off with a terrible cold, and none of us have felt better until today.
The first week may have been rough, but we made up for it this past weekend. Saturday night, Beau and I met two of our favorite couples for dinner, and enjoyed being without the kids for a few hours, (thanks, mom!), then we took the kids to the flea market for a treasure hunt on Sunday, followed by a long nap for me & Maggie. We all woke up today feeling (almost) back to our normal selves, and I am thankful for that!
Every year, I make a list of five resolutions, and another list of goals or activities I’d like to accomplish in the new year. Here are a few things on that list.
It’s a simple and mostly fun list, and that was on purpose. I want to keep it light in 2012. Last year was so busy with the wedding, and I am going to enjoy a slower pace of life. (fingers crossed)
What are some of your 2012 goals or resolutions?

We kicked this New Year’s Eve off with pizza and a viewing of Rudolph’s Shiny New Year with our girls. We’ve got homemade double chocolate cupcakes, party hats, and noise makers to keep the fun going. After the kiddos are asleep, we’ve got a bottle of bubbly to toast our first New Year as a married couple. I hope everyone has a fun & safe New Year’s Eve. Welcome 2012!
