Two Babies

I snapped a few photos of my sweet Maggie this morning playing with her sister’s baby doll. She is growing up so fast, and I don’t want to miss anything!

Oh, sweet Maggie! Today she is 14 months old. She is full of mischief and sweetness. Things are much busier in our house now that she is a toddler, but we wouldn’t have any other way. Maggie’s new skills include climbing, onto the coffee table, the couch, and the rocking chair in her room. She has also started sorting, and enjoys pulling toys out of a container, and putting them back in. It is fun to watch her explore her surroundings, and play with her big sister.

I seriously can not believe that the 4th of July is almost here. Inspired by that, I put together Amelia’s red, white, & blue outfit. Her skirt is from noah and lilah, her top and headband are from Target, and her shoes are from The Children’s Place.
Maggie got in on the fun, too. Her dress is from Old Navy.

I took the girls to Sears this morning to get some photos taken, just for fun. Here are a few of my favorites.

Today, Maggie is 13 months old. I didn’t take many photos this week, because she has been very sick with a high fever & ear infection. Good times. I am happy to report that thanks to the antibiotics, she is finally feeling better today. She is still a bucket of grump, though.
A few new things to report; she has cut one of her top teeth, gives hugs to everyone (including our pets), and is trying so very hard to speak to us.
I had forgotten about those months of frustration toddlers have when they’re learning to communicate with you. Might be time to teach Maggie some sign language.

My mom and I took the girls to our local spray park this morning. It is a perfect place for small children, and a great way to beat the Florida heat! Today was Maggie’s first trip there, and she had a ball. This little girl is fearless, and got right in the thick of things. I’m sure we’ll make many trips there this summer, when our heat index reaches 100.
We don’t go to the library very often through the school months, but in the summer, it’s our number one destination. The air conditioning is always cold, there are puppet shows and craft parties, and the price is right, FREE. We are very luck to have a new & beautiful large public library in downtown Clearwater. Today was Maggie’s first trip to visit the library.

It was a fun first visit for Mags, and we took home a bag full of books & DVD’s. Here is a favorite book that we borrowed. We may need to buy this one.

I hope you and your kids will have some fun library adventures this summer, too!
