We spent three chilly days at Walt Disney World last weekend. We stayed at the lovely Port Orleans Riverside Resort in their new Royal Guest Room. We spent time at Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and the Magic Kingdom. It was a fun weekend filled with roasting marshmallows, horse-drawn carriage rides, Disney movies on the lawn, Ghiradelli hot chocolate, and good quality family time. (Amelia was sprinkled with fairy dust. You can see the sparkle in the up close photo of her in the red jacket. It was a highlight for her)

I was given a cold as a parting gift from Disney, so I am resting today so I can enjoy the eighty degree weather we will see this Sunday.

Spring break is right around the corner for Amelia, and I am dreaming of a trip to the beach.

What are your spring break plans?

Hooray Orlando!

Hooray hotels!

Hooray Downtown Disney!

Hooray for sisters & fruity, overpriced alcoholic drinks!

Hooray for tattoos!

Hooray for pyramids made out of creamers!

Hooray for the Peabody ducks!

I took Amelia to Orlando this weekend, along with my sister & niece for a little fun. We swam in the hotel pool, ate dinner at the Rainforest Cafe, did a little shopping in Downtown Disney, and went to see a parade of ducks. It was nice to have some one on one time with my Amelia. She rarely gets my full attention these days with her demanding toddler sister taking up much of my time. I hope you all are enjoying this long weekend, and the unofficial start to summer!

Our Orlando Holiday Weekend of Fun

I booked a holiday getaway for my little family this past weekend in Orlando as an early Christmas present. We stayed at a lovely hotel Saturday night, spent the evening at Downtown Disney, had dinner at the Rainforest  Cafe, and went to Sea World yesterday. Everything was decorated for the holidays, and it was exactly what we needed. I feel relaxed and ready to take on the rest of this hectic month.
