On weekends when we have no plans, I love nothing more than getting up and taking the kids on small adventures to some place new. This morning we checked out a park about 20 minutes north of where we live, that I had heard many good things about. The weather here in Florida has been so pretty this winter, that it’s hard to stay inside. Our morning was filled with fish & bird sitings, running around the playground, and soaking in the sunshine while hunting for pinecones. I hope your weekend was filled with a little adventure, too.

Mother Nature is One Hot Lady

I took the girls to a favorite childhood park of mine this morning. I thought it would be fun for them to visit someplace new. This park has some great nature trails, and we had fun exploring. We saw spider webs, ducks, and even a baby alligator. My girls LOVE to be outside, and it is so much fun for me to see the wonder they have for the world each time they see and learn something new.

A vintage light cover that I want to hang in our hallway.
My to-do list is a mile long! I have several home projects I’d like to do, including hanging that glass dome, painting our bathroom, hanging and rearranging some stuff on our walls, and working on our outside deck; new plants, etc.
I have also been daydreaming about summer adventures with the kids, Amelia only has two weeks of school left.
With summer fast approaching, I think I will be doing more of the family adventures than the home improvements. They can wait until fall.
