Amelia’s 4th Birthday Party

We woke up this morning to pouring rain. I had hoped that the weather system they had been predicting all week long would move off to the east, but it did not.

I was a little stressed since we were expecting around 30 people, many of them children that are in Amelia’s preschool class. All of the fun activities were planned for outdoors; a bouncy house, silly string, sidewalk chalk, and bubbles.

The bouncy house we rented arrived around 9:30 this morning, and the girls and I got in to check it out. Nothing like jumping in your pajamas.

Amelia was so excited to have a bouncy house in the backyard, I am glad I didn’t cancel it after all.

Next, we put on our party dresses and waited for our guests to arrive.

The lunch menu consisted of cuban sandwichs, peanut butter & jelly roll-ups, fruit, chips, and pink frosted cupcakes.

Amelia received so many nice gifts. Lots of Disney princess toys & books, it’s no secret that this kid is a sucker for a tiara.

The rain finally gave us a little break, so the kids got to go outside for a bit.

It was a brilliant party, and Amelia had the best time, which is all that matters anyway. Amelia will officially be 4 years old next Tuesday. She is growing up to be the most amazing kid, and birthdays are such a fun way to celebrate what great people your kids are becoming each year.

Every morning we pull out the arts and crafts box and create stuff with crayons, glitter, stickers, and more. It is one of my favorite times of the day. Amelia has started drawing faces. Her father is the artist in the family. Let’s hope she takes after him, and not me . I have trouble drawing a circle.
