Easter Weekend

This weekend we enjoyed beautiful Florida weather, hunted eggs, ate WAY too much candy, baked cupcakes, visited with family & friends, ate beautiful homemade food, took naps, watched movies, and spent time with our new chicks. Pretty great weekend, if you ask me.

Amelia decorated Easter eggs this afternoon. I have seen so many pretty egg decorating  ideas on Pinterest lately that had me itching to be super creative this year. When it came down to it, I went with the good ol’ kit from the grocery store, and let Amelia decorate the eggs the way she wanted to. Maybe next year, I’ll buy a dozen eggs for me to decorate, too.

Easter Decorations

I recently decorated the house for Easter. Can you believe it’s almost Easter?!? I feel like I just packed away Christmas. Anyway, The girls are already hiding last years plastic eggs in the house, and carrying toys around in their Easter baskets. I love spring, and Easter is definitely a favorite holiday. Actually, I don’t think I’ve ever met a holiday I didn’t like.

This Bunny Is Pooped

Well, one thing I can say about Easter weekend is that we got through it. Two sick kiddos + one sick mama= one miserable family. We went ahead and had my family over for Easter breakfast as planned.

My mom made the yummy quiches and muffins, and the comfort food was comforting.

Amelia REALLY enjoyed hunting for eggs this year.

We’ve enjoyed a restful morning today, and fingers crossed we will all be feeling back to normal in the very near future.
