We had a very nice Easter Sunday. The girls awoke early to find that the Easter bunny had left them a basket of goodies, and eggs to hunt in our backyard. Later in the morning, my family came over for brunch, and after they left, we had a lazy afternoon watching Easter Parade, and taking cat naps. We will have a week of warm weather, and I hope that it is warming up where you live, too.

Easter Weekend

This weekend we enjoyed beautiful Florida weather, hunted eggs, ate WAY too much candy, baked cupcakes, visited with family & friends, ate beautiful homemade food, took naps, watched movies, and spent time with our new chicks. Pretty great weekend, if you ask me.

Eggtastic

Amelia decorated Easter eggs this afternoon. I have seen so many pretty egg decorating  ideas on Pinterest lately that had me itching to be super creative this year. When it came down to it, I went with the good ol’ kit from the grocery store, and let Amelia decorate the eggs the way she wanted to. Maybe next year, I’ll buy a dozen eggs for me to decorate, too.

Do you decorate eggs with your kiddos? Do you do something creative and different when decorating? What’s your favorite Easter tradition?

Easter Decorations

I recently decorated the house for Easter. Can you believe it’s almost Easter?!? I feel like I just packed away Christmas. Anyway, The girls are already hiding last years plastic eggs in the house, and carrying toys around in their Easter baskets. I love spring, and Easter is definitely a favorite holiday. Actually, I don’t think I’ve ever met a holiday I didn’t like.
