This morning, Maggie has been helping me bake pumpkin muffins, and decorate the house for fall, even if it is still 90 degrees here. In fact, I think my mom and I might take the girls to the beach this weekend!
I feel like I am getting some of my mojo back. I have recently been dealing with an angry tooth, and had a root canal yesterday. The good news is that today I am almost pain free for the first time in weeks!
I have also started potty training Maggie. We got off to slow start, but she has been doing great these last few days!
Looking forward to these next few weeks. We will be celebrating our first wedding anniversary, Amelia’s 5th birthday, and fall festivals and pumpkin patches are in our near future, too.

We took the girls to Busch Gardens today for a little hot weather fun. It is a great place to visit if you’re ever in Tampa, Florida. We have had annual passes for 3 years now. The animal watching never disappoints. My favorite creature of the day was this handsome owl.

I attended a sweet friend’s baby shower today. She is decorating her little girl’s room with an owl theme, and received lots of super cute owl things for her nursery. Being around all of those little booties & clothes makes me feel nostalgic, and reminds me how fast time passes. Lots of love, M. I can’t wait to meet your baby girl.

I just watched Rango with Amelia. Best part? The mariachi owls.

Amelia made an owl this morning out of an egg carton. We followed the instructions here, as the other owl craft I posted was a bit difficult for a three year old. This was an easy, fun craft that also recycles.

I’ll take one of each, please. All available here.

I came across this adorable craft today, and wanted to share it with you. I can’t wait to make an egg carton owl with Amelia. How fun! See how to make one here.
