New sand for the sandbox is a sure sign of spring at our house. The girls were more than happy to plant their feet in the sand and spend an hour building sandcastles, and shooing our Italian Greyhound out of the box.
Maggie had to chase a chicken or two out of her playhouse, too.
This is inspiration for my next project. I’d like to make the girls a doorway puppet theater. They already have a nice collection of puppets, so I think they would love something like this.
Today was a day for bubble blowing, sand pie making, soccer kicking, baseball hitting, flower picking, and sandcastle building.
I’ve decided that the girls big xmas gift from us this year will be a reading tent or teepee. I have seen several of them on blogs I follow, and here are a few of my favorites.
I have found teepees available for sale on the web, but the best of them are available on Etsy. Here is one I like.
These are nice, too.
I plan to fill the tent with new books and pillows like this one.
What a magical thing for my girls to find on Christmas morning. I’m excited to start putting this fun gift together.
Just in case you don’t read ohdeardrea like I do, I had to share this super adorbs play tent that she constructed for her daughter. Read how to make one of your very own here. I hope to do this project sometime soon for my girls. I love how it defines a play space, and keeps the toys in one spot, out of sight. Awesome.
Amelia’s been making us laugh with little finger play songs she’s learned in school. This is one of her favorites.
Three little pumpkins sitting on a gate
The first one said, “Oh my it’s getting late.”
The second one said, “There are witches in the air.”
The third one said, “But we don’t care.”
Oooohhh went the wind and out went the lights
and the three little pumpkins rolled out of sight.
The weather is FINALLY back in the 70’s, and we couldn’t wait to get out in our back yard. The windows in the house are open, the sun is shining, and I’ve got an instant mood lift. Here’s what my morning looked like.
