Our Year in Review

In January we tried not to take ourselves too seriously.

In February, Maggie started crawling.

In March, we stopped to smell the flowers.

In April, we got our engagement photos.

In May, Maggie turned one! We also spent Mother’s Day weekend on the beach, and I turned 34.

In June, we spent a lot of time outdoors.

In July, we were patriotic.

In August, we spent a lot of time at the beach.

In September, Amelia started her second year of preschool.

In October, we got married, and took a familymoon. Amelia turned four!.

In November, we enjoyed simple pleasures, and gave thanks for a wonderful life.

In December, we went to Yo Gabba Gabba Live, and soaked up all of the holiday magic.

It was a GREAT year, and I can’t wait to see what 2012 has in store for us!

Brave Girl

I’m gonna be brave, and post a photo of me in my new swimsuit.

I am a curvy girl. Even at my fittest, when I was a cheerleader in high school, I was still one of the “bigger” girls. I am learning to except my post baby body, and still working on getting fit. I am currently a size 16, but hope to be a 14 by the end of the summer. I am down 40 pounds total, post baby.

Now let’s talk about the suit. I had read so much about this particular suit from Lane Bryant. I loved it’s retro look, and was impressed by all of the glowing reviews. I ordered one recently online, and was able to get the $120 price tag down to $70 with a sale and a coupon they were offering. I have never ordered a swimsuit before without trying it on. This is just not possible for me. I need support for the girls, and just the right cut so I don’t have mom butt.

The suit comes in several different colors, and you can tie it around your neck, or hook it through loops in the back for more support. I give this suit my seal of approval. I feel very comfortable in it, and look forward to wearing it this summer. Now to work on my tan, I am pale as a ghost!

Baby Trend Sit N Stand Stroller

Now that I am the mother of two, a double stroller was a must have. I wanted an affordable option that was not too bulky, and easy to use. My mom surprised me this week with a Baby Trend Sit N Stand stroller, and it fits the bill.

It is light weight, easy to open, and Amelia loves the fact that she can stand on the back platform, or sit on the jump seat. Perfect for an active toddler. It retails for less than $150, which I think is reasonable, and comes in a few different colors.

My mom and I are taking the girls to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party tomorrow night, so I will be giving this puppy it’s first road test. I’ll let you know if it meets all my expectations.

Look for lots of photos of our Orlando weekend getaway next week.
