Mama Loves Thrifting

Here’s a look at some of my recent finds.

A pretty mid century floral platter, two Blue Heaven plates, eight melamine plates and a sugar & cream set, an adorable ceramic squirrel dish, a pretty yellow floral plate, and a orange floral juice glass.

A globe for the girls to enjoy.

Pretty yellow pillow cases.

And a TON of vinyl. Here are a few of my favorites.

I also found a vintage leather jacket and some shirts for the mister, and a few clothing pieces for me, too.

Junk Drunk

Smitten. That is the only word I have to describe my feelings for Jean & Sandy. Who is Jean & Sandy you ask? Why they are the vintage wall pockets I found at the flea market today for a steal. Just $35 for the pair. There are two sets on Ebay right now, and one set starts @ $75 and the other is priced @ $150. I love them so much, and can’t wait to hang them on my kitchen wall.

I also found a vintage wooden doll highchair, which my girls started playing with as soon as I brought it home. I plan on sanding it and throwing on a new coat of paint.

This was a super fun find. Pee Wee soundtrack on vinyl.

I couldn’t leave the flea market without strawberries. If only your computer had smell-o-vision. Yum!

We Love Christmas Vinyl.

My girls spend hours in the afternoon listening to Christmas music on vinyl. They dance, play with their Christmas plush, and try their hardest not to touch the ornaments on the tree. We have a pretty good sized collection of children’s Christmas vinyl, but their favorite is Christmas With The Chipmunks. It pretty much gets played year round.

Vintage paper Easter decorations from Germany, unopened.

Pretty vintage plate.

This was a GREAT find! It has the original recording of Day-O. (Think Beetlejuice Soundtrack)

A miniature porcelain tea set for Amelia.

{Vinyl Thursday} Los Carabelas

I am going to try and make this a weekly feature on my blog. I have an AMAZING collection of vinyl. I started collecting it as a teenager, and never stopped. I know there are lots of you that share my love of vinyl, so I thought you might enjoy a peek into my collection. This one is a recent find. What drew me to it at first, was that is was signed by all three musicians.

Ernesto, Enrique, & Victor. Check out Enrique’s glasses. Awesome!

I love that the label is an octagon shape.

The back is signed: Lovely from Spain, Los Carabelas

*Bonus* Track 3 on side B, Guantanamera, is one of my favorite old spanish songs.

The Letter E

Each week Amelia’s preschool class focuses on a new letter of the alphabet. This is the fifth week, and so they are learning about the letter E. I have decided to play along. Each week I will list some of my favorite things that start with the corresponding letter.

E is for….

Estate Sale

I scored all of these at one estate sale a few years back.

Eyeglasses

I wear them, and I love them! These are super cute!

Earrings

Earrings are my favorite accessory. These vintage beauties were a gift from my grandfather to my grandmother. They are a much loved possession.
